At 1700 hours the yard went on lockdown.. At 1900 Hours, while in house feeding 2A pod, Officer Skulminosky and Officer Hartman was assulted by two white inmates:.
HU1 was fed in house with 16 officers in the pod to ensure that the feeding process went on without futher incident.
They need to start locking down the yards for two weeks for every officer that gets assaulted. That includes visits. This shit is getting out of hand and the administration seems unable or unwilling to do what is necessary to take back control. It seems like everyone is too worried about what some scumbag's mommy is going to call the warden about. Seriously? Does anyone else feel like the wants and needs of felons and their families have taken priority over our safety? I sure do sometimes.
Ya know what else would be great. If one of our 3 unions would do something about the admin getting away with having 1 person in a lvl 4 tower with one person the ground.
I realize this may not be the place for me to post as I'm not an officer or the wife of an officer, but the wife of an inmate. My husband was at Rast a short time until they moved them over to Buckley. In that time I had the pleasure of interacting with several officers at Rast, all of which were pleasant experiences. My thoughts go out to everyone involved.
