A three-time Arizona inmate serving time in Buckeye died in a hospital Wednesday night from puncture wounds.
Dana Seawright, 26, was found injured in his cell on Saturday, officials from the Arizona Department of Corrections said. He was taken to Maricopa Medical Center for treatment, where he later died.
It is unknown how he sustained the puncture wounds.
Seawright was serving a 12-year sentence at Arizona State Prison Complex for a dangerous drug violation and unlawful use of means of transportation, officials said. It was his third Arizona prison sentence.
The death is still being investigated by the Department of Corrections.
