A Gila County jail inmate was caught Tuesday night after he fled from a Taco Bell in Globe, authorities said.

Inmate Roy Reyes, 24, was found in a home just before 11:30 p.m., and was taken into custody, according to Gila County Sheriff's Office.

Reyes was at a Taco Bell on the east side of Globe with two Gila County sheriff's employees Tuesday afternoon when he disappeared, Sheriff John Armer said.

Reyes was serving as a county jail trustee on a maintenance detail, Armer said. Reyes was initially sentenced to one year in prison on Nov. 22, for failure to appear in court on drug paraphernalia charges, said Lt. Justin Solberg with Gila County

Solberg said Reyes had no history of violence while in custody.
