AZ prison escapee captured at casino

PHOENIX (KPHO/AP) -

An Arizona prison inmate who escaped from a work crew west of Phoenix has been captured.

State Department of Corrections officials say 40-year-old Dyan Castorena was arrested just after 3 p.m. at Casino Arizona by the Salt River Pima Tribal Police.

Castorena was working at an auto auction in Tolleson Sept. 30 when she got into a car and drove off.

Castorena was sentenced to 18 months for theft and had been serving that time in state prison complex in Perryville since July.

Perryville and Lewis prison complexes had dispatched Department of Corrections teams to apprehend Castorena.
